Course Description : The emphasis in this course is on the development of reading and writing skills. Task themes are study skills based and increase in length, complexity and variety. Reading skills include prediction, skimming, scanning, making notes, getting information from websites, inference, understanding tables, charts and graphs, using reference. Writing skills include description of people and lives, routines and procedures, study habits, buildings, letters and emails. Also included are definitions, comparison of data, notes and summaries and describing statistics.

Final Examination taken from the whole course.

Assessment :

·        Test 1: 30 marks

·        Test 2: 30 marks

·        Final Examination : 40 marks
